My name is Thauna and I am an enthusiatic Web designer located near Salt Lake City, Utah. My original career path was in Human Resources and is where I learned my first bit of HTML and Web design. Almost nine years ago, I needed to post job openings on the company's website; our IT person gave me a brief tutorial and I purchased 'HTML for Dummies' and off I went. I was hooked. I had a thirst to learn more and took on any opportunity I could find to learn and practice. My Human Resources career led me to finally pursue my Bachelor's degree, but halfway through my upper-division classes I decided to pursue my passion and switched my program to IT/Visual Communications. That was one of the best decisions of my life and led me to full-time employment as a Web Designer. While finishing my degree I was still working in Human Resources at the University of Utah. I assisted with the Web site and designed pages whenever I had the opportunity. In January of 2008, I became a full-time Web Designer for a national company that provides financial services for credit unions.

I'm still pursuing freelance work and striving to push my creative limits. My hobby continues to be learning more about Web design and practice my skills and craft. I am also interested in all aspects of digital photography, from taking the picture to enhancing and manipulating them in Photoshop and Fireworks.
